Electrician Edgeworth 

Edgeworth grew up as a coal-mining village, first called Cocked Hat Creek and then Young Wallsend, before being renamed in 1960 after geologist Sir Tannatt William Edgeworth David. That mining-era history shaped the housing: subdivided colliery land filled through the 1960s to 80s with brick-veneer family homes, the norm across most streets, while the old Young Wallsend colliery site itself was redeveloped into a 1990s estate. More recently, townhouse infill has appeared near Northville Drive, adding a mix of home ages and wiring standards to the suburb.

That range of housing eras means a genuine mix of electrical work. Many of the original brick-veneer homes from the 1960s and 70s still run rewireable ceramic-fuse boards without modern RCD safety switches, which is exactly what our switchboard upgrades handle. As these affordable post-war homes are renovated and extended, full or partial rewires of aged cabling are common, and dedicated circuits for pools and EV chargers remain a common upgrade for houses built without them.

Main Road is the suburb's commercial and navigational spine, running past Edgeworth Town Square through to Cardiff and West Wallsend, while Minmi Road and Northville Drive carry much of the local residential traffic. Edgeworth also sits in the Cockle Creek floodplain, so storm season can mean storm-damaged mains and sagging service lines on the older overhead runs, work that falls to a Level 2 ASP like us rather than a general electrician.
